NECA is committed to assisting the IBEW in developing the next generation of skilled electrical professionals through comprehensive workforce development programs. Our initiatives provide electrical apprentices with training, education, and career opportunities to learn all of the necessary skills they will need in the electrical contracting industry.

Career Pathways

Pre- Apprenticeship

Entry-level introduction to electrical work, providing foundational skills and knowledge to prepare candidates for apprenticeship programs.

Basic electrical theory

Tool familiarization

Apprenticeship

4-year program combining on-the-job training with classroom instruction to develop fully qualified journeyman electricians.

Earn while you learn
8,000 hours of field experience
900 hours of classroom training
